Fundraising Strategist (f/m/d)

38,5 hours per week, unlimited contract

Today, RED NOSES partner offices operate in Austria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Germany, Hungary, Jordan, Lithuania, Palestine, Poland, Slovakia, and Slovenia. Across these numerous locations, RED NOSES work together with vulnerable audiences such as children in hospitals, older citizens in geriatric facilities, children with disabilities and people affected by crisis. RED NOSES International, based in Vienna, acts as the headquarter and supports the activities of the locally led organisations by monitoring and ensuring the implementation of the organisation’s strategic goals. RED NOSES is on an ambitious journey to enhance our fundraising initiatives, based on strategic recommendations from a comprehensive cross-market analysis. Now, we're searching for an International Fundraising Strategist to take charge in the implementation of those recommendations across diverse markets.

In this role, you'll collaborate with and consult the RED NOSES Partner Organizations and local Heads of Fundraising, fostering international cooperation and implementing strategic plans to boost the fundraising outcomes. Your tasks

  • Consult Partner Organisations on strategic level 
  • Close collaboration with the local Heads of Fundraising to strengthen local FR activities, following the FR recommendations and beyond
  • Create and enhance synergies in Fundraising among RED NOSES organisations
  • Ensure implementation of the above-mentioned collective FR recommendations (e.g. technical developments) on a group level 
  • Facilitate smooth international collaboration and further skill development among RED NOSES fundraising experts
  • Ensure Fundraising activities on international level, i.e. leadership giving 
  • Keep tabs on innovation and trends and bring them to RED NOSES Fundraising

Your Profile

  • Proven experience in facilitation and management, coupled with a solid background in fundraising, marketing, or sales within the NGO sector across diverse international markets
  • Knowledge of current fundraising, marketing and sales tools for different target groups with a strong background in digital marketing and fundraising, along with a strong understanding of data analysis and CRM systems
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in cross-national teams, coupled with excellent communication and collaboration skills 
  • Strategic visions and decisiveness, with a hands-on mentality and supportive energy
  • Solid background of technical implications and solutions for cross-border Fundraising
  • Motivating with an inclusive and facilitative leadership style 
  • Great interest in international NGO issues and identification with the purpose, vision, mission and values of RED NOSES
  • Proficiency in English at a professional level is required. Knowledge of German is an added value but not a must
  • Diplomacy
  • Clean Police Record
  • Willingness to be vaccinated (especially COVID)

Position details

  • 38,5 hours/week
  • Reports to the Management Board 
  • Vienna based (work permission) candidates are preferred but not a requirement. However, a suitable candidate should be willing and able to work from Vienna, attend meetings etc. on a regular basis

The salary range, depending on experience and skills is annual gross 68.600 – 80.500 (based on Austrian labour law)
